Website Showcase: Dodge Ram Trucks

Sometimes I like to showcase websites that are simply gorgeous. This site from Dodge (www.ramtrucks.com) fits the bill. I love how the large images takes over the entire site and really captures everything we need to know about this brand – rugged, tough, hard nose, ready for work, etc. Love this site. Very inspiring.

Mike this afternoon at a conference, I saw a website displayed during part of a presentation, that looked very much like the Dodge site, only the image was in motion.

Not an animation but a video with people moving about in an office.
Do you have any idea how it was done and can it be replicated or mimicked?

It was part of another company’s seminar and I didn’t go in, sorry to say I don’t know what the site url was.

I liked the look a lot. I’d pay to learn that technique.

    P.S. (to clarify)
If the background were saved as a flash movie, would it be possible to layer the menu and copy areas over it without being embedded in the flash… or… done completely without flash?

Sam, does the site look like this?

…if so, then yeah it’s all flash. I know what you mean. I love this look as well. I like the look, but have never done it as I’m not that much of a flash expert. :)
