Another excellent, informative video. :)
Thanks Daniel!
Hi Mike, great video. I know when I am in a bit of a struggle for work I look at how I can improve my skill sets like recently I made a wordpress-powered website for my cousin’s small business. Was a free job, but allowed me to build my skills and experiment with WP without any pressures of timelines etc. Her site looks great and I now have a new skill under my belt.
@Tallman – Yup, always good to jump on new projects for free. I always talk about continuing to practice and I think taking on projects (free projects) is always helpful to keep you moving and working on new things. At work or in freelance, it’s not often that we get to work on new interesting projects all the time – so we may have to take it upon ourselves to work on something cool and new to learn new things. I’m doing exactly that with a new concept project that includes both a web and mobile versions of the site.
Great advice even for us beginners. Thanks as always.
Great video daniel, very informative!
@Kris – You’re welcome, yes..this is advice for everyone at all levels really. Also this advice can be applied to not just web design but other careers as well. Higher skill level and differentiation is always a win win.
@Darren – Thanks, glad you can take something away from the video.
