I’ve always contemplated whether or not to include a contract for every client but you have confirmed what I always felt – if the client is clearly upfront about it, there is usually no need. So far my intuition hasn’t failed me. :)
The pricing is a difficult thing to do, especially when you don’t live in the US. I can only dream about working for $75/h. :)

A couple of questions: Have you ever asked for a deposit up front before starting work on a project? How much of a deposit do you think one should ask for (especially when starting out in web design)?
